This privacy policy sets out how I (Sharon Booth) use and protect any information that you give me when you use this website and/or sign up to my newsletter.
What personal data I collect and why I collect it
Newsletters and Giveaways:
If you’ve joined my email newsletter then you’ve provided me with your email address. In this case I only use your personal data to provide the newsletter and it is not used for any other purpose. I use Mailerlite to send out my email newsletter and will therefore share your email address with them. If you enter a giveaway via my newsletter and/or blog where you were required to email me, your email information is used solely for that purpose and deleted afterwards. If you win, you will be asked for your physical address so that I can send your prize to you. The address will ONLY be used to send your prize and I will not keep your address on record.
Comments and Contact:
When visitors leave comments on this site the data shown in the comments form is collected, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser uses agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so any follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Cookies:
If you leave a comment on my website you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
