Publication Day!

It’s publication day for Destiny of the Witch! It’s been a long time coming, that’s for sure, and I can’t believe that, almost five years since I published Belle, Book and Candle, the series is finally complete.

Destiny of the Witch cover shows red haired young woman in winter clothing standing in front of a hill with a tower on it and a darkening blue sky behind her. Orange magic swirls around her.

This is a whopper of a book – far longer than I intended it to be. I had so many storylines to tie up and so many mysteries to reveal. It was far more complex than I’d realised it would be, and as I’ve had to fit writing it around my Storm Publishing commitments I’ll admit it’s been quite a challenge. I’m ready for a writing break now, although unfortunately, that’s not going to happen any time soon! Here’s what’s happening in Destiny of the Witch:

United they Stand…

The magical world is stunned by recent events, and the community is in turmoil. Fear is growing, and the witches are looking to Lowen for answers and reassurance. But with the necessary proof of his identity still missing, how can he give them what they need?

Someone has betrayed them all, and a heavy price has been paid by a much-loved and well-respected witch. The St Clairs need to find out who is behind the betrayal, and what they must do about it.

A desperate search in Whitby yields astonishing results, and as one revelation follows another, Romy realises she can’t put off telling John the truth any longer. But how will he cope with what she has to say to him?

As the Winter Solstice approaches the witches realise they have a huge decision to make. The sword is still missing, the unease felt by both witches and fae is turning to something much darker, and the Pendragons are gaining support.

Things are reaching crisis point in Castle Clair, and it seems the unthinkable is about to happen as Lyrica’s prophecy is proved correct.

One will become three, three will become two, two will become three…

I hope you like the sound of it! I have to admit it’s a bittersweet moment. I’m very relieved to have completed the story and sent this book out into the world, but I’ve lived with these characters a long time and it’s sad to say goodbye to them.

I must warn you that if you haven’t read the previous books in this series you won’t have a clue what’s going on. This book picks up where His Lawful Wedded Witch ended, and you really need to know and understand the full story to make sense of this final episode.

Haven’t read any of them? Why not start with Belle, Book and Candle, the first in the series?

Do you believe in magic?

Sky St Clair doesn’t, and growing up in Castle Clair, a small town renowned for its mystical past and magical legends, she never felt she belonged. Sky got away from Castle Clair as soon as she could, but when a run of bad luck leaves her homeless and jobless, she has little choice but to accept her sister Star’s invitation to return home for the festive season.

When Star has an accident, Sky finds herself running the family’s magical supplies shop. Wands, crystals, pendulums … really? It’s a tough job when she doesn’t believe in the products she’s selling, but how can she? Magic isn’t real, no matter what her deluded siblings think.

Jethro Richmond doesn’t believe in magic either. In fact, he doesn’t believe in anything much any more, which is proving to be a bit of a problem for a writer of fantasy novels. With a self-constructed wall around his heart as high as Clair Tower, and his dreams as ruined as the town’s ancient castle, he’s lost all hope of repairing his tattered career.

The last thing he needs is to get involved with a family like the St Clairs, and no matter what a certain little black cat seems to want Jethro has no intention of spending any time with Sky or her unusual sisters.

But this is a strange little town, and as the residents prepare to celebrate Christmas, Sky and Jethro might just discover that in Castle Clair anything is possible.

Even magic.

It’s the perfect book to start your adventures in Castle Clair, and as it’s set in December, with all those festive and wintry vibes, it’s the perfect time to start reading it!

AND FROM NOVEMBER 1ST BELLE, BOOK AND CANDLE WILL BE JUST 99P IN THE UK AND $0.99 IN THE USA! So grab yourself a witchy bargain and enter the world of Castle Clair…

Thank you so much for your continued support. It really does mean the world to me.

Have a great week!
