I’m very excited to announce a new project with my fellow writer and very good friend, Jessica Redland.
Like me, Jessica writes contemporary women’s fiction set in our beloved Yorkshire. We are both members of the Romantic Novelists’ Association, and of the Write Romantics group. We meet up regularly for lunch or cake and always find we have plenty to talk about, so it seemed natural that we should decide to team up in order to better connect with our readers and, hopefully, introduce our individual audiences to the other’s work.
Therefore, this week, the Yorkshire Rose Writers was born.
Our plan for next year is to start up a Facebook readers’ group, which will be private, and also a newsletter. Members and subscribers will be the first to hear our news, and there will be competitions and giveaways. We may also be asking for advice, so you could perhaps get to choose a title, or name a character. For now, though, we’ve started up a blog and you can find it here. We’ll be posting regularly on Tuesdays and Fridays.
We really hope that lots of you will join us. This will be a fun, informal partnership, intended to help us get to know our readers better, and for our readers to get to know us! We’re looking forward to 2019 and we hope to see many of you signing up to the group and/or newsletter.
Have a great week.
